    Quick review for busy people

Breakfast was excellent, with fresh squeezed juices and various options. The restaurant serves delicious meals but at a premium. Free parking right next to the building was a plus. Staff friendliness varied, impacting my check-in experience.

Very good location right in front of the fjord. We had room 310 which has excellent views of the fjord. The room has a lovely balcony which allows quests to sit and admire the views. In addition the room has its own private sauna. The room is very large and has ample space for 3 persons (it has a spare bed with another bathroom/toilet). The breakfast spread is rather wide .Good value for the money and we do recommend the hotel to other guests.

Beautiful old family run hotel with real character located right on the fjord. Make sure you have dinner there - the man who runs the place cooks very tasty (and affordable) food. The staff are very friendly and willing to help sort out any problems.

    A decent place for friends

The breakfast was surprisingly good,,, a real buffet feast! I enjoyed the lovely view of the fjord while sipping my coffee, though I had to grab my own bread due to some staff confusion.

It wasn't exactly cheap, but acceptable for what we got.

The hotel building is a real piece of art, very nice atmosphere, we were upgraded to the Sean Connery suite, outstanding fjord view from the balcony. Good staff service. Very nice breakfast. Excellent location for Hardanger fjord sightseeing. Two supermarkets and a fuel station within walking distance. Highly recommended and would like to come back again in the future.

I was offered a room with perfect views over the sea. Location: the hotel was not far from the sea and Bergen. The vibe here was quiet. The staff there were exceptional and very-very nice.

    would happily return

Had a double room with a private balcony overlooking the fjord. Clean and modern room had a coffee machine, large bathroom with nice toiletries, and a comfy seating area. Breakfast was an extensive buffet with cereals, fruits, and hot items. Free coffee was available at all times. Fine outdoor spaces.

The hotel restaurant only had one choice for dinner (meat). The only place where we could have something else was a pizzeria. Breakfast very good,

Historic hotel with plenty of character overlooking the Hardarderfjord. Very helpful manager/staff.

Some of the decor/fittings a little jaded in places

    amazing, amazing, amazing

I was completely mesmerized by the fine fjord views from my room's large balcony, where I sipped my morning coffee while soaking in the vibrant hues of sunrise. The breakfast spread was a feast for the senses, with everything from fresh pastries to exquisite local specialties that left me craving more. The warm, cute vibe from the staff, especially when they went out of their way to help me plan a kayaking adventure on the fjord!

Good hot water for shower. Superior room is good sized room and view is excellent over fyord. Dining room is beautiful. Breakfast was good. Very nice quiet location. Reasonable access to Bergen by car.

Parking space is limited. Hotel rooms are in need of renovation. Shower nozzle too low being at navel level. Village shops and pub shut early and no other restaurants.
